Share the Warmth is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. It has many programs like a Food Bank, and now a Community Café, it organizes Community Suppers, a Santa day for children, offers a variety of youth programs like tutoring, youth group and music. Share the Warmth also offers work training to 10 adults who might not otherwise be able to share their gifts with others.
But is this what Share the Warmth is? A bunch of programs? What have these 25 years meant to you? If you could describe those 25 years in a few words or sentences, what would you say? Would you, like some, say growth, change or just a smorgasbord of help to others? Write Michèle or call her at extension 226.
The Fall Newsletter contains information on our latest programming news and highlights volunteer involvement. Read it here: Fall Newsletter 2014
Last Saturday, Share the Warmth launched its new Café during the Action Watchdog Roundtable Neighbourhood visit. The opening barbecue was a great success even though most of us baked in the hot sun. The young musicians were very professional, the food was great and the people were great fun. Be sure to come by and try our food! Menus will be posted each week and prices are set at 4$ for a meal for residents and 2$ for Share the Warmth members.
Thank you for all your support at this latest 2014 Edition of the Table of Hope.
Thanks to all the donors, guests, sponsors, media, volunteers and restaurants, we were able to raise essential funds to continue feeding the 2,500 hungry children throughout Montreal.
We can’t do it without you Montreal.
Our newsletter features our upcoming events, a recap of recent events and programs as well some stories from our members. Our longer newsletters come out in March and November and offer more in-depth coverage of our programs.
The Share the Warmth newsletter is a great way to stay in the know about all the things we are working on and we are very happy you still want to receive it. You may contact Michèle Chappaz at any time with comments, questions or suggestions for future newsletters.

After only six weeks of renovations, Share the Warmth is preparing the big reveal with new open concept work space for staff but more importantly a bigger better and airier food bank space that will better meet the needs of our growing membership.
Volunteers and staff are busy preparing today’s food bank. The storm is keeping everyone in and busy as bees. Open from 1:30 to 3:30 on Mondays and Thursdays (except the first week of the month, when it is closed) except the last Thursday of the month, like today, when it is open until 6pm.
